Dr. Meredith Saylor Baker

Ophthalmologist & Oculoplastic Surgeon

Dr. Baker began practicing in 2015 and promptly found a home at Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists. After graduating from Princeton University, Dr. Baker received her M.D. from the University of Minnesota and interned at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Baker completed a residency in ophthalmology as well as a fellowship in oculoplastics at the top-tier ophthalmology program at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Baker quickly emerged as a leader in the field, receiving “Rising Star” designation from Mpls./St. Paul Magazine several years in a row. Her memberships in good standing include the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Minnesota Medical Association. Dr. Baker is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

With numerous industry publications, Dr. Baker is an established thought leader in the field of oculoplastics and ophthalmology and has special areas of interest in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the eyebrows, eyelids, and midface; tearing and tear duct disorders; eyelid abnormalities such as ptosis or drooping; orbital/facial trauma and reconstruction; and orbital tumors and disease.

Dr. Andrew R. Harrison

Ophthalmologist & Oculoplastic Surgeon

Dr. Harrison began practicing in 1999 and joined Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists the following year, having found a place that met his exceptional standards for integrity, patient care, and medical excellence. Dr. Harrison is listed in “America’s Best Doctors,” was named a Top Doctor by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine, and was listed in U.S. News & World Report’s “Top Doctors.”

Dr. Harrison received his M.D. from the University of Missouri Medical School and interned at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis at Washington University. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Harrison held two fellowships, one in neuro-ophthalmology and orbital surgery at the University of Minnesota, and one in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health Sciences University.

As a well-respected industry expert, Dr. Harrison often provides talks and thought leadership on oculoplastics, and serves as director of the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service. Dr. Harrison’s memberships in good standing include the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Harrison is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is one of only 30 fellowship directors for ophthalmologists training to become oculoplastic surgeons. Dr. Harrison also serves as a professor at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Eric R. Nelson

Ophthalmologist & Oculoplastic Surgeon

Dr. Nelson founded Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists in 1990. Since then, he has accumulated numerous accolades, including being voted as one of the Best Doctors in America by his peers. Dr. Nelson is considered a leading expert in oculoplastics.

As an ophthalmologist and specialist in oculoplastics, Dr. Nelson’s credentials are unparalleled. Dr. Nelson received his M.D. from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed an internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center Los Angeles County. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute in California, and held a fellowship in oculoplastics under Henry L. Baylis, M.D., founding chief of the oculoplastics surgery fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Nelson’s memberships in good standing include the American Academy of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Medical Association, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is chair of the Self-Assessment Committee of the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Nelson also serves as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota.

Isabel Sim-Campos, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Isabel is a dedicated Physician Assistant who collaborates closely with the surgeons at MOPSS to provide exceptional patient care. She graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Health Sciences and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from Touro University California in 2021.

Isabel began practicing as a PA in 2021 and joined MOPSS in 2024. She focuses on providing personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs and preferences. She is committed to enhancing the quality of life for her patients through high-quality medical services.

Isabel is dedicated to helping her patients look and feel their best through compassionate, personalized care. She manages post-operative care, consults with new patients, and offers cosmetic treatments such as Botox. She also performs various in-office procedures and assists in surgeries as needed.

Isabel values building strong, personal connections with her patients, ensuring they feel well cared for throughout their healthcare journey.
