Our practice, founded in 1990, is devoted exclusively to oculoplastic and ophthalmic plastic surgery: reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the areas surrounding the eye and mid-face, including the eyelids, tear ducts (lacrimal) system, and orbits.
Reconstructive oculoplastic surgery is performed to treat conditions affecting the function of the eye and lacrimal system including drooping eyelids and brows, entropion, ectropion, tear duct obstructions, lesions, infections, orbital and eye-tissue trauma.
Cosmetic oculoplastic surgery is performed to reshape normal structures of the eye in order to enhance appearance and youthfulness. Rejuvenation surgeries include upper and lower eyelid surgery, endoscopic, direct and indirect forehead and brow lifts, and CO2 laser resurfacing.
Non-surgical rejuvenation options include BOTOX® and Fillers.
Dr. Eric Nelson, Dr. Andrew Harrison, and Dr. Meredith Baker are board-certified ophthalmologists as well as oculoplastic surgeons, which means they have completed fellowship training specifically in plastic surgery of the eyes and lacrimal system. This means that they have a high degree of skill and experience to perform eye plastic surgery.
Eric R. Nelson, MD, founded Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists, P.C. in 1990 and has been in private practice over 20 years.
Andrew R. Harrison, MD, has practiced oculopastic surgery since 1999 and joined Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists, P.C. in 2000.
Dr. Baker received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her ophthalmology residency and oculoplastic fellowship training at the University of Iowa.
